To make an appointment for an initial consultation, all you have to do is call the
University Counseling and Wellness Center at (251) 460-7051. You can also walk into the Center (300 Student Center Circle) to schedule
your appointment.
* Our secretary is typically on the phone for several minutes with each student gathering
information and scheduling appointments so sometimes she might not be able to pick
up immediately. Students should leave a message with their contact information when
prompted. Our secretary will call you back as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.
Initial Consultation
If you are interested in accessing the University Counseling and Wellness Center services
for the first time, you can discuss your concerns with one of our clinicians during
an initial consultation. Our services are free and available to enrolled мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±×ÊÁÏ students.
We are located at 300 Student Center Circle (right next to the Computer Services Building
and very close to the Student Health building).
What To Expect During the Initial Consultation
We estimate that the initial consultation will take approximately 20-30 minutes. The
purpose of the initial consultation is to gain a thorough understanding of what brings
you to the counseling center, identify your goals, discuss options and develop a plan
which may include individual counseling, group counseling, a referral to campus or
community resources or self-help resources.
